"We have used the 30mm matting for around 4 years and on about 15 sites. The matting is very easy to lay and the surface underneath does not need to be dead level, in fact it will lay on fairly rough ground so surface preparation is a lot less than carpet or tiles. The matting is flexible and not too heavy and can be laid by almost anyone, as it just clips together. Whilst the product interlocks it can be a little fiddly as the rubber lugs move around, but we place a long piece of wood under each joint and tap the top lungs in with a round tube. It is very easy to cut around obstacles and is backfilled with soil/seed. The matting is much quicker to lay than carpet or tiles, at least 50% quicker and all you need is a knife to cut around obstacles, some cable ties to re attach the cut areas and some soil, with the soil in place the tiles are very difficult to lift. A good product for play ground use. Would be happy to recommend to other Local Authorities." Andy Joyce, Southampton City Council.
